Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26) Holy Burial is an extension of our pastoral care ministry here at St. Thomas’. The actual funeral service is but one element of the total Christian care we strive to provide, from the initial call to providing aftercare. At the funeral service people can expect to find and to give full expression of the grief they are experiencing within the context of the Easter hope. Clergy are fully engaged with the family of their deceased loved one in planning the funeral.
